PRC’s National Holiday
[15-mins till today but fuck it...] X’mas present
Is it too early to think about it? Or is there really such a thing as never too early only too late? I have gone through my list of Xmas presents I plan to spend on my friends and family, the approximate price and where to get it.
Usually the list comprise of my best friends, close friends, exes whom I still keep in touch, family, close cousins and then there’s Paul. I’ve just added him on my list because I got to know him a bit better than before and I like him very much so I decided to get him a present too.
If I can write a verse, sonnet, poem or song then that’d be really awesome. Priceless and original. Sadly, I’m not a writer or poet, neither artist nor scholar therefore I can’t write more than what I really think without being poetic about it. Thus, I resume to my next problem on my mind: What am I going to give this guy as X’mas AND Bday present.
Let’s not forget, Paul cheated into his birth year by coming out on the last day of the year… He must be really lucky, receiving two gifts at the end of the year. Either it’s an extra big one or two very nice gifts.
Anyway, gift for a guy… I know him better but I don’t really really know him all that well. I thought of multitude of things: watch? another wallet? t-shirt? items which he can’t use? accessories?
Wait a minute… I’ve never seen him with accessories. Come to think of it, I hardly see guys with accessories other than necessities. Which brings back to the point that I don’t like guys with a lot of bling and chains around him. They look like wannabes unless those things have sentimental value and do no look like those large dollar sign necklaces…
Just when I was getting frustrated, my cousin and Alvin, whom were having dinnerĀ and movie with me, started suggested weird things like: an earring? a pillow case? a lamp with Mr. P and his penis as a switch for on/off? books? a card?…
Then it came to me that I can just give him a scarf. Colors and design are easy to pick, if he doesn’t wear it then that doesn’t do any harm to me. I saw scarves from this shop and they were very nice. I’ve never seen Paul with a scarf on, though I’ve seen him once with winter clothes on. Besides it’s one size and he can wear it when he’s skiing or sth. Or for his dog, Cash. Anything will do~
I thought of camera equipment, but I don’t know anything and I don’t know what he needs and it sounded very costly when he told me some of the stuff he bought. So I’m thinking a card and something useful would be better, right? Arghhh…. This question about xmas and bday gift for Paul has haunted me for two weeks already.
Of course, I can just ask him…
