What a healthy way to start my day: I went on cross-training machine first thing I woke up. Of course, I washed myself before stepping out of the flat. Down the gym I went to keep myself fit, but I had an ulterior motive – avoid mom in the morning at all cost. Since mom’s unwell, she has been feeling cranky and impatient since yesterday afternoon. Better step out of the battlefield before she spots me and bombard me with her “concerns”.

Went to H&M after having lunch with my grandma. The ‘yum cha’ session wasn’t as bad as I had imagined being my mother has an eternal feud with my grandma. Is there some natural law that daughter-in-laws never go well with mother-in-laws? It seems like most married middle-aged women would complain about their disconnection with their in-laws, especially the older generation. Generation gap? I think not.

Anyway, I claimed two prized items from H&M this afternoon: a black skirt and a grey top. Dodging through the crowded shop in search for the right item wasn’t easy; and worst thing was queuing up for the changing rooms: the line extended a few metres from the rooms. Well, that didn’t stop me from getting what I want.

Sent messages to Paul this afternoon. Miss him already haha. Every time my phone vibrates with a new coming message I smile, and mom would ask me, “what’re you smiling at?” Nothing, just the fact that I received a message from the guy I like. “I just remembered something funny from school, that’s all” I replied. Still, the thought of yesterday makes me exultant.

The day ended with me not having a proper dinner because I had late afternoon tea (6.00pm) with mom and her friend, Stella whom worked at Central. I had Italian tomato soup (canned) for dinner, and saltine crackers. Should I say I’ve had a healthy day or that my healthiness exeeds to avoiding people and having irregular eating hours?

I’m thinking of a song: No Way Back – Foo Fighters. That reminds me, I still need to listen to other recommended songs from the band. Haha
